Harvey Water is a customer service business and our service is water delivery.
Our 10 water controllers communicate with irrigators and schedule water deliveries both to suit the customers and to minimise wastage in the system. Since 1996 the distribution system has been automated and computer-controlled - a great improvement on the former manually operated system.
The newer piped supplies serve our customers better by making water available under gravity pressure when required all the year round. A wider range of horticulture enterprises is now possible because water is available to suit.
Harvey Water manages according to a Customer Service Charter. This specifies standards that Harvey Water will meet in terms of water delivery, asset management, billing and direct communication. For example the “6 day rule” specifies that if water cannot be delivered on the day required it will be supplied in a period up to 2 days before and 3 days after the date requested.
