Wastewater is generated in the Harvey Fresh's dairy and juice processes. Approximately 1ML of wastewater is produced each day. It is currently treated through a dedicated wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) on their premises. In order to provide adequate disinfection of treated wastewater from the Harvey Fresh WWTP, a chlorination system will be installed in the vicinity of the existing WWTP.
Harvey Water will implement and maintain recycled water management systems consistent with the National Guidelines on Water Recycling to effectively manage the risks to public and environmental health.
