Harvey and Waroona Districts – 38%
Collie River Irrigation District (CRID) – 80%
A low allocation for the Northern districts, and an allocation for the CRID for the first time since privatisation reflects two years in a row of low rainfall and low dam inflows.
The Irrigation Season will open on 1 October 2020.
Water Use Options
Harvey Water encourages all Members to review their on farm practices and make decisions early given the likely scarcity of water. This extends to purchasing TWE early.
Over use
We remind all Members to stay within allocation limits – overuse penalises every other Member of the Cooperative. The following penalties occur for every month a Member remains over their allocation;
Buying and Selling Water
A low allocation is likely to increase the price of water, particularly in the Northern districts. If you have unused water, please make it available for trade.
From 9th November, all water trading, temporary and permanent will need to be completed through the Harvey Water Online Trading (HWOT) platform. This is to ensure water is represented by an open and transparent system giving all Members equal opportunity in the market.

- $150 administration fee; plus
- $1,000 per megalitre (pro rata) penalty for water consumed over and above allocation
